Since moving here, I have found the Dominican Republic a very comfortable place to live as an ex-pat. The people are friendly and welcoming, and plenty of places to explore and enjoy. I recommend this country as an excellent option for anyone considering living abroad!

One of the best things about the Dominican Republic is that it is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the world, so you can always enjoy a relaxing day by the water.

There are also plenty of cultural experiences, from exploring the vibrant cities to visiting traditional villages. So if you’re looking for a place to call home in the Caribbean, Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, or the island nation, it should be at the top of your list!

Las Terrenas

Or, the hidden gem of the Dominican Republic, La Romana, is located in the North of the Samana Peninsula and about 2 hours from Santo Domingo by car. La Romana is a beautiful town perfect for a relaxing vacation and travel ex-pat. The capital city has a lot to offer, including plenty of shops, restaurants, and a stunning beach.

Las Terrenas is a small beach town located on the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. It’s known for its laid-back lifestyle and is popular with ex-pats and retirees who come to live here.
